Gyrinophilus and Chipperhiker:
I wonder how many times it's gonna take for me to learn to say "I'm not exactly sure about this, but I believe that..." before I go spouting off.
You are absolutely right about what Todd and Chambers say about the Thermobaker, that it's strictly intended for the C.
I just got off my butt and actually LOOKED at my two BZ's, and wouldn't you know... Damper flaps!
My apologies for not checking out the facts regarding the BZ, senza damper flap. My journalism prof would rake me over the coals on that one, and I would totally deserve it
Thank you folks, for setting things straight.

To all,
I have a model B and have used the thermobaker successfully for cornbread, biscuits and pie, not to mention my tamale pie. I just adjusted cooking time.

My kitchen will be done by the end of the week and I will post a proud picture of me and hubby by our chambers.

Two things.
First, for Joe, I don't think you owe anyone any apologies. One of the great things about this forum is the self correcting nature of the communicatiton. I've learned a lot from you and deeply appreciate your willingness to share, obvious smarts, skill with wordplay and great sense of humor. In this instance your statement resulted in an exchange that provided an answer to a question that has been really bugging me for a long time. Thank you!
Second, Thanks Treatmaker. It is great to know that you have baked in the thermowell with the Thermobaker on a model B (even though I know that your skills as a chef are unapproachable by the likes of me). Gives me hope for the future when Opal is operational.
